Arthur- Chapter Two
I guess college isn’t as bad as people make it out to be. I mean, when I was at school, all the teachers made the idea of going to college idealism, a dramatic way of changing your entire life forever. If anything, college is merely a stepping stone to wherever you want to go next, I mean, you could just go and get a job somewhere (I know a couple of my classmates are going to, idiots), get an apprenticeship (A bit like work, except you’re still training and are getting paid to do a qualification, slightly more sensible), or, like me, will go to university, which is by far the most sensible thing to do. I guess employers respect you a lot more, I mean, they’d much rather employ someone who is clearly intelligent, hardworking, resourceful, as well as skilled, rather than some oaf who just took a couple of A levels and left it at that…
Arthur finally got out of the house after enduring breakfast with Sue. He swore she was permanently miserable, either that, or sh

Arthur - Chapter One
So, let’s just say that today is one of my bright days. I have bright days, an I have dark days, just like everyone else, except I know what day is which, whilst others don’t really pay much attention to them, almost taking them for granted.  It’s definably one of those days when my imagination is like a rainbow explosion, almost like in a paint factory, like the one my mother used to say to me when I had my post it notes every where when I was seven. It’s almost the feeling that everything I see is inspiration for the next story. I can see it in my head, I can almost feel it becoming words onto the page. It’s like magic, if that even existed….
Arthur carefully shut the door to his bedroom. He slung his bag onto the floor and tossed his jacket on his bed. His mind was whirring, a regular occurrence, as he dumped himself into his desk chair and lifted the lid to his laptop. As he waited for it to load, he grabbed hold of a battered old notebook

Alfie's War - August 4th 1914
Chapter One
August 4th 1914
Today was just like any other. I decided to meet Jock and Tom by the market in order to discuss old Joey’s surprise birthday party in the village hall, his mother has trusted us with sorting it all out, even though Jock is well known for his escapades and my brother and I are not the best at remembering when things need to be done. Tom and I set off, walking down the path through the farm, and down the country lane until we got to the village square, filled with shouting sellers proclaiming that their produce was better than the last, competing to get the sale. Jock was the same as always, loud and cheerful, with a spark in his eye, the only way to tell when he has a plan involving mischief up his sleeve.  We laughed, and chatted about the streamers and the chocolate cake that Joey’s mother needed us to get organised, until Harriet ran up to us…
“So, old bean, it has to be chocolate?”

The Writers - The Pilot
INT. Rosie's Den. Day
After the credits have rolled, we are shown an over exposed, happy scene, of a group of young people, raising their mugs of hot beverages in toast to a young woman with long black hair worn down with a white flower clipped in it, wearing a blush pink blouse and white trousers, who is blushing, and smiling brightly. The camera pans through each of the people's faces, laughing and happy, as HELENA speaks as a voice over as the happy scene continues
HELENA (V.O)
It seems only like yesterday, the day that my dreams were realized, that fine Spring morning in 2008. I was young, naive, innocent. It was plain to see that I would secure a deal, that I would see my name, HJ Smith, in lights. My book was in the shops, they'd all bought a copy to read, I never had such good friends in all my life, than the ones in the writer's circle.

Alfie's War - Prologue
Prologue
25th January 2013
“Hey, Arthur, check this out!” Sarah Williams cried, “Doesn’t the chocolate in this shop window look simply beautiful?”
Arthur nodded politely, before sticking his nose back into a battered old book that he was determined to read during the trip, sighing at the fact that all his girlfriend seemed to think about was chocolate. It had been all she’d wittered on about throughout the coach journey over to Belgium, even though Mr Rose had constantly reminded them the reason why they were travelling though the countries for the week. It was the History trip of a life time, he’d told them the week before, as they had sat at their desks, taking notes about the itinerary of the trip, and their kit list for their stay. She had, as usual, been gossiping with her rather daft friends, whilst he had been frantically taking the notes that he had needed, gone online to search for the information that he had wanted to take with him on

Arthur Stone - Chapter Five
As they entered the room, Arthur cringed at the loudness of the music that was pumping though the room, it certainly wasn't anything that he'd heard before, "Oppa Gang..WHAT?" he asked, as Will pulled him though the crowd of dancing and drinking people, attempting to make their way to the bar to get a drink.
"Gangnam Style?" Will replied, as he pulled out a stool for Sophie, who cheerfully sat down, resting her feet from the pain of the silver high heels that she'd (stupidly) decided to wear with an aqua strappy dress covered in diamanté.
"What the heck is that, if you don't mind me asking?"
"It's a song by a Korean guy, PSY, which is popular at the moment! See how out of the game you are? I bet you haven't even got a YouTube account!"
"I watch stuff on YouTube," Arthur exclaimed in a feeble attempt to defend himself and his lack of popular music knowledge,  "I just listen to stuff that I like, as is all…"
Will rolled his eyes in an irritated manner, and turned to Sophie, becoming

Arthur Stone - Chapter Four
Chapter Four
After spending an hour unpacking everything, and sorting it all out into piles of things that could go into the drawers and what ought to be hung up, and then came to the terrifying conclusion that he didn't have enough hangars to put the huge pile of shirts, jackets, coats, jeans and chinos into his wardrobe. He sighed in despair as he made the almost fatal (in his opinion) to go around the rest of the corridor in order to enquire after spare hangars. As people would be getting ready for the night's dance, he knew that he would be greeted with a rather frosty reception, especially from the girls, who, although would have what he needed, would be furious at being interrupted by him as they underwent that rather important ritual of preparing for a social occasion. Deciding what it will be that they will wear, changing their minds at least ten times, pampering themselves with hot showers, facemasks, makeup, perfume, dressing, hair styling, the whole shebang. But if he didn't

Arthur Stone - Chapter Three
Chapter Three
"It's nice to see you, didn't think you'd actually come out!"
"I thought about what you said, and I do need to come out of my shell a bit, might give me someone to talk to whilst you go off to America for Christmas break."
Will laughed, "It's always good to celebrate Christmas with someone rather than with you, your thoughts and your imagination..."
Arthur sighed, and punched Will feebly on the arm. He winced, recalling that sport really wasn't one of his strengths. His friend laughed it off, and said, "First things first, I didn't pull Sophie with bad hair. This is one of the reasons you do not pull yourself. Our first stop is to a barber's shop..."
Arthur looked at Will pleadingly, as he was pulled by the duffle jacket hood into the nearest barber and plonked into a chair. It wasn't long until Will paid the guy ("This one's on me, think of it as a Christmas present," he'd said) and the barber got to work. Locks of light brown hair fell onto the ground, lying their forlo

BEEP BEEP BEEP
Arthur bolted up from his unsatisfactory sleep. He looked at the time, and flew out of bed. The lecture was to start at eight o clock, and it took at least an hour to get to the lecture theatre where it was to be held, and would be the only lecture from this professor to be held before the holidays, and, to make things worse, it was for the exam that would be sat the day they returned from the holidays! He had no time to lose. Arthur speedily put on his shirt, trousers and socks, before pulling on his sneakers and grabbing his back pack, jacket and notebook and running out of the door. Racing past the kitchen with the scent of freshly boiled coffee and burnt toast wafting through his nose, Arthur ran out of the house, to the bus stop. He would be an hour early to the theatre, but that would give him enough time to get his notes together so that he would be able to get the best seat before the other students arrived right on time.
It was just that dream. That

Arthur Stone - Chapter One
Chapter One
Arthur closed the door to his room with a gentle thud, and began the process o removing his wet duffel jacket, which he slung over the chair with a slop, the water from the now melted snow dripping onto the carpet, causing a wet patch to grow ominously. After taking off his work shirt and throwing it clumsily into the wash basket in the corner next to his desk, Arthur pulled out a white t shirt from his drawers, replaced his damp trousers with some warm slouch pants and changed his socks, before popping his feet into his slippers and heading out into the communal kitchen.
He rummaged in the cupboards for a few moments, whilst he hunted out for the instruments that created, in his mind, the perfect tea. He brought out a brown teapot, with the matching cup and saucer, and set them down lovingly on the side.  It had been the only thing that his grandparents had left him when they died. He'd been thirteen years old, and they had been the only people to bring him up after h

Arthur Stone - The Prologue
Prologue
Arthur Stone wasn't a typical man. You'd see him walking around campus with his backpack full of books and stationary, clutching a battered old notebook in his hand as he hurried from lecture to lecture. You'd never see him without his trusty tweed jacket and scuffed up sneakers, and you would never see him without the wind blowing his wild hair into his face. You could recognise the round glasses perching on the end of his nose ever so precariously, and the shy smile as he gained another idea to scribble into his notebook was one that very few people were ever actually able to see, as Arthur Stone was a very private young man. His few close friends would often describe him as someone who was beyond his years, someone who was old before their time, as although he was a young man, he was one who acted older than he actually was, enjoying to read a thick old book rather than going to the pub with the rest of the people he roomed with at university. Not that it really mattered to

District Carol Service Readings 2012
Reading  One – gifts of different shapes and forms
Christmas is the best time of the year for all the children, as they are able to get all the gifts that they could possibly dream of.  Gift after gift is opened, and the children squeal with glee as they discover what is under the brightly wrapped paper.
When we think about gifts, we always assume, especially when we are young, that its all about what is underneath that beautifully decorated tree, with the sparkly paper and the shiny ribbons. But a gift can be anything. Anything in your wildest imaginations.
There are some gifts that you can't possibly buy from a shop. Time spent with friends and family, even just a few hours sat watching terrible Christmas films or the Queen giving her speech on the television, whilst your grandparents snooze on the sofa after the giant Christmas lunch. Talents that you might have, such as to be able to sing, draw or dance, and using those talents to brighten up someone else's day is another

Bound By The Heart - Chapter Seven- NaNo 2012
Arthur and his brother, Charles, were sat in the gentlemen's club tucking in to a juicy steak of beef and roasted potatoes, washing it down with gulps or rich red wine. They had spoken of the usual matters, such as the fine weather that they were experiencing in Bath, and then of matters of business with the banks and The Bar, when the conversation turned to the ball of the previous night.
"So, you have met a girl at the ball? From what I heard, you were quite enchanted by her!"
"Brother, I have met a girl, whether she has enchanted me or not is my concern only," Arthur replied, "Yet I appear to have formed an attachment to her."
"So what I have heard about has some foundation!" Charles exclaimed, "My brother, finally, is locked in the manacles of love!"
"I would not call myself locked; rather, I would suggest that I have chosen to explore my feelings in a manner that makes me look as if I am in love. Yet I cannot say that I am in love, for I have only known the girl for a day or two."

Chapter Two of Arthur should be up by the end of the day, as I now have my beloved macbook back from my partners :D

This means I can head to the student union office where I started writing the chapter up and get it onto a memory stick to transfer to this macbook, so then I can carry it on in my hour break before Media Writing, and then finish it tonight when I get home.

I would go to the D&D thing at college tonight, but I need to talk to my carer about it first, as it would mean that I wouldn't leave college until 6.30pm, meaning I wouldn't be home until a lot later. She doesn't like me being home too late, so I doubt she'll let me go, even though I'm 19 years old and old enough to sort myself out.

For the meantime though, my partner will drop me off home to Fareham so I can get the bus back, meaning that I shouldn't be too late home, which will make my carer super happy!

I also finished the first Hitchhikers book, so I need to buy the rest so that I can finally be a true Hitchhiker!

The only bad news is that over the weekend I ended up with a really bad cold that I can't seem to shake off!

I am a young author who is trying to get her work seen. I will be publishing my first adult novels here for your approval and entertainment, as well as for feedback so that I will be able to get them published for real one day...

People probably know me best for my fantasy novel, 'The Chronicles of Crazar', which was my first ever fully written book, and became popular with my fellow dA members. I also write short stories, which normally involve tales about random things, although I also write stories about human rights violations when I get the chance, as I am a supporter of Amnesty International.

I took part in NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) 2012, with the half finished novel 'Bound By The Heart' which grinded to a halt because of the awful storyline and the fact that this year's NaNo took place when a lot of tricky things happened with my personal life...

I am also a Jane Austen fanatic, so you'll see some of that influence my work. Haters gonna hate, and quite frankly, I'm happy with being who I am. I am a guest blogger with dA Pagans as well, due to the fact that I am an openly practicing pagan/witch. As I said, haters gotta hate.
